Welcome to my Website

This is my first time ever writing a now page on my website. I’ve learn that the rule in writing a now page is that you want to frame it as if you were catching up with a friend you haven’t talked to in a while. So, here is what is new with me.

I Built My Website

I was recently inspired by my older brother (checkout his website at macky.io) to create a blog and share things that I enjoy. To be honest, his website is way cooler than mine. I wanted my own personal space where I can share books I’m reading, playlists I’m creating, and write about topics that are interesting to me.

In all honesty, I’m not that great at writing. English was definitely not my favorite class in high school - I was more of a math guy (sidenote, yes I did use an em dash in that last sentence but this is not ai written. lol) So this is my attempt to write more and share about what’s new with me.

Work

Work has been going so well. I truly believe that I work for one of the coolest companies in the entire world (shout out to Hallow). The work I get to do is truly missional and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. The job has brought me to so many different parishes across the United States and introduced to some of the most hardworking people I’ve ever met.

Jon Bellion at Red Rocks

Probably the big highlight of June so far was getting to see one of my heroes in concert, Jon Bellion. I would not have wanted anyone else to go see for my first concert at Red Rocks in Denver, CO. By the way, wow what a venue. A couple of things that I learned about Red Rocks.

  1. The Views are immaculate.
  2. The stage is surprisingly very small
  3. There is not a bad seat. I think we were row 36 on the right hand side. We got a good view of the stage with phenomenal views of Denver and the landscape.
  4. Jon Bellion knows how to control a crowd. Not a red rocks insight at all.
  5. He played Stupid Deep for the first time in 9 years.

Fall is looking to be a packed calendar of travel, both for work and concerts. I’m stoked for what the season brings.

Inspired by the /now movement.
